Cassava Cake
Ingredients
8 servings
- Batter
- 2 packs gratted cassava
- 1 can coconut milk
- 1/2 can evaporated milk
- 2 pcs raw eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 6 tbsp chesse, grated
- 1/2 cup condense milk
- 14 tbsp sugar
- Toppings
- 1 can coconut milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup condense milk
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp chesse, grated
- 1 piece raw egg
Method
- Combine the grated cassava, butter, condense milk, evap milk, chesse, sugar and eggs in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Add the coconut milk in the mixing bowl where the mix ingredients are. Mix again.
- Grease the baking tray then pour in the batter (ingredients that has just been mix)
- Pre-heat oven for 180°F celcius for 10min then put in the baking tray with batter and bake for 1hr. Remove from oven and set aside
- Meanwhile preparevthe toppings by combining the sugar and flour and put in a heated saucepan.
- Pour in the condense milk then mix thoroughly.
- Add the chesse while stirring constantly.
- Pour the coconut milk and stir constantly for 10mins.
- Pour the topping over the cassava cake and spread evenly.
- Seperate the yolk from the egg white and glaze the topping with the egg white.
- Put the cassava cake again in the oven untill colors turn light brown.
- Garnish with grated chesse and serve.
