Sardine fish fry

This is a traditional Kerala recipe, that you can easily find in almost all Kerala restaurants and homes. Sardines is a popular and favorite fish of malayali.

Ingredients

  1. Sardine- 600gms/ 6 nos
  2. tsp Ginger garlic paste-2
  3. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
  4. 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tbsp black Pepper
  6. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  7. olive oil- needed for shallow frying

Method

  1. Apply all ingredients on the fish and do make sure to rub the masala mix inside the fish stomach and gashes. Keep it rest for 1 hour in refrigerator.(atleast 30 mins)
  2. Then put on the fish and shallow fry the fish on medium to low flame. Flip the fish carefully after 5- 6 minutes. Again repeat frying for 5 minutes in same temperature.
