Chili tofu, asparagus, and pork stir fry
Spicy, fragrant, and healthy. Silky smooth tofu; tender, fresh asparagus; soft and tasty sauteed pork.
Ingredients
- ~200g ground pork
- 1 package medium firm tofu ~500g
- 1 bunch asparagus
- Red chili powder
- Szechwan pepper powder
- Cumin powder
- Thai bird chili
- Fresh ginger
- Fresh garlic
- 1 bunch green onion
- Healthy cooking oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cooking liquor
- Sou sauce
- Black bean sauce
- Cornstarch water
- Rice
Method

- Make rice
- Boil water with salt
- Prepare asparagus and cut into bite size shapes
- Cube tofu and add go salt water boiling
- Finely chop ginger, thai chili, garlic, green onion. Separate green onion stem from leaves.
- Heat wok and stir fry dry ingredients, as as much or as little of each as u like, until they become fragrant, but do not burn them
- Add oil and wet aeromatics (black bean sauce, ginger, garlic, green onion stems) except green onion leaves, stir fry until aeromatic but no burning!
- Add ground pork and continue stir frying, don't burn anything!
- By this time water boiling so add asparagus
- Ground pork get too hot add soy sauce stir fry
- Add cooking liquor stir fry more, no burning!
- By this time asparagus cooked, drain asparagus and tofu and add to wok before it burns!
- Stir fry carefully, tofu very fragile but silky smooth tasting if you don't break them
- Add salt pepper, green onion leaves, turn off heat stir fry more till even
- Add cornstarch water and mix until silky smooth
- Plate
- It will look much better than my picture
- Eat with rice
